The Littleton Community
Band (LCB) is a true community band.
LCB was founded in 1992 to provide
performance opportunities for
adults and youth in a supportive community setting. The group became Littleton Community Music Association (LCMA), a registered nonprofit corporation, in 1984.
Nearly a dozen
performing groups currently work under the LCMA umbrella, including:
- Windjammers
Jazz Orchestra
- Littleton Concert Band
- Rootin' Tootins Dixieland Band
- Littleton Youth Orchestra
- Youth Jazz and Vocal Projects
- The Ovation Players
- The Brass Roots
These groups have performed for Race for
the Cure, Ft. Logan Memorial and Veterans Day Ceremonies, Littleton
Firefighters Ball, Littleton Historical Museum, Denver Art Museum,
Capitol Hill People's Fair, National Federation of the Blind, U.S. Air
Force, American Diabetes Foundation, and
many corporate and private functions.
In addition, LCMA provides programs for students including the Lenski
Elementary Band, Littleton Concert Band, Ovation Players, and Littleton
Youth Orchestra, and other member-directed ensembles.
